NNC Project Specialist, Lauren Fosbenner, was recently certified as a Carbon Auditing Professional (CAP) by the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE).
She completed a 2-day training and an exam related to climate policy, calculating carbon emissions from various activities, energy efficiency and building operations, transportation and fleet management, and efficiency project financing, among other topics. The training was hosted at the Sustainable Energy Fund in Schnecksville, PA.
Lauren will use this training and certification to contribute to NNC’s work supporting the City of Easton’s climate action plan implementation and monitoring. Carbon Auditing Professionals can assist a variety of organizations to reduce their carbon footprints by conducting carbon audits and emission inventories, identifying reduction opportunities, setting up greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions management programs, reporting carbon emissions, and more.
Lauren is excited to bring this new knowledge to NNC’s continued work on climate action and emissions reduction throughout our region!
